  I agree with Jeffery A in that the food is good, and in that you should check out the (usually boring-as-shit) google reviews.  Although the google reviews are still quite boring, I wasn't bored while reading them this time.  Primarily, because the owner's responses are pretty hilarious, as are the responses to the responses.  Allow me to paraphrase:
  
  Google reviewer:  "Restaurant suck, food ok but owner a rude BASTAGE!"
  
  Owner:  "Why, why you, you, you farging SNEAKY icehole!  You didn't even eat here!  Liar!"
  
  Google reviewer:  "I not liar! I do eat here!  YOU lie you cork-soaking bastage!"  
  
  Owner:  "Do not NEVER come here, you farging dirty bastage!  You come here your lousy bells will be in sling!"
  
  Sooooooo, let's forget the bastage sons of beaches on google and stick with yelp.
  
  FOOD:  Depending upon what you order, this might well be the best Desi food in this town.  My family, and most of the Indians and Pakistanis that I know, agree on that.  Rich flavors, nice presentations, and great textures abound.  Spicy?  The level of burn depends on what you ask for.  Although they'll make your food as spicy as you wish, most of the dishes, like those of every other place in town, default to "mild."  I could list all of the dishes that we've had, and enjoyed...not gonna do it.  Suffice it to say the the food at IJoT is as good or better than that the other two area places...but you be the judge.  Buffet:  I'd skip the buffet and order from the menu.  Of course, I'd skip the buffet at Tandoor and Star, too.
  
  SERVICE:  The bottom line is that you shouldn't come here if you're in a big hurry.  Personally, we've never experienced excessively slow service, or rudeness in any form.   Maybe, there have been a couple times when I wish my food would have come out faster, but then again, you get what you wait for.
  
  ATMOSPHERE:  Intimate, but otherwise not much different than Tandoor.  I will say that parking at IJoT is a little tight.
  
  BOTTOM LINE:  As the establishment that serves the overall best Desi food in the city, Indian Jewel of Toledo gets five stars.  As far the owner's attitude, I'll say FARG you, you lousy beaches and bastages!  Still five star!

  I didn't find 0 so going with 1 star... For sure I don't recommend this place to anyone. Very horrible food and rest room maintained like rest area place.
  
  Also the way owner responding to reviewers comments (in google reviews) sounds like a racists or pysyche guy running this restaurant.... recommend to stay away..

  I've been here three times. I've also been to the other Indian restaurants in the area. In my opinion, the food here is the best food in the area. I won't take that away from the owner. The decor in the restaurant is charming and has great ambience. The first time I was here, the service was fine. The second time, the service was quite slow but the food did not come out in an unreasonable amount of time. The third time, the service was awful and we waiting over an hour for our food.
  
  What pushes this review to 1-star is the owner and how he treats his customers. Do yourself a favor and look at the Google reviews and see his insanity for yourself. Read his own words. He is rude, insulting, and his behavior prevents me from ever going here again despite his restaurant having the best Indian food in the area. People are not exaggerating his behavior.

  Went for lunch the other day at 1:30 (which is one hour before lunch closes). Barely got any food and they wouldn't put anymore out said they were closing early. Absolutely ridiculous to walk in, be seated, think you are getting lunch buffet, and to barely get any food and be told that after. Would have appreciated being told before we sat, we would have eaten elsewhere especially since what little we had was mediocre at best.  We will never return after this experience. It's no wonder the owner is driving a Tesla with these kind of tactics.

  Ordered two appetizers,two entrees, and a soda.  After 70 minutes of waiting and people getting their food  before us that came in after us we asked for an update.  They said another 40 minutes.  We hadn't even got out our appetizers yet.  We said we had to leave.  They charged us for the salad that came with the entrees, 40 minutes earlier and the soda.  The waiter was nice, but seemed inexperienced.  Also the atmosphere was nice.  A lady that was waiting on take out said the food was awesome and she has never seen that happen before, so this might be an isolated incident.  But We shouldn't have been charged for the salad and soda which totaled $6.  I doubt we will be back.
  
  Edit:  after reading some of the other reviews where similar things happened, we will not be back.
